Paul Takakjian Attorney

LA criminal and drunk driving defense lawyer Paul Takakjian is the founding partner at Takakjian & Sitkoff, LLP. Mr. Takakjian started his legal career over 35 years ago as a deputy district attorney with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office. Over the course of his career as an award-winning special prosecutor in the Sex Crimes and Hardcore Gang Crimes special prosecution units, Mr. Takakjian worked out of the virtually all of the criminal courts in the Los Angeles Superior Court system (West LA, Los Padrinos, Compton, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Culver City, and Pomona). In addition, Mr. Takakjian also formerly served as an academy instructor for the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department teaching laws of evidence, breath testing, and Title 17 compliance. As an instructor for the New Prosecutor’s College, Mr. Takakjian taught DUI prosecution and drafted the “DUI Prosecution Manual” which the DA’s Office continued to use for several years following his departure to start his Los Angeles criminal defense practice in 1987.
