Robert Ameen

I was born and raised in Pawtucket, RI. My dad, Edward Ameen, was a well-liked and respected Pawtucket business man for over 50 years, owning and operating an insurance agency and a tax and accounting practice. Before attending law school, I worked in my dad's business for a few years and what I learned about insurance and taxation has come in handy in my legal practice. My mom, Helen Ameen, was a homemaker whose greatest treasure in life has been her children. I graduated from St. Raphael Academy in 1970, from URI in 1974, and from the University Of Miami School Of Law in 1979. I began working with Attorney Moses Kando in 1979, but he shortly thereafter was appointed a Worker's Compensation Court judge, and I have been a solo practitioner ever since.
