While attending Washburn Law, Ted developed a love of the courtroom while serving the Judges of Sedgwick County's Eighteenth District Court as a law clerk. Seeing the justice system in action motivated him to accept an internship at the Sedgwick County District Attorney's office; this is where Ted began his career in the courtroom. Ted handled both bench and jury trials during his time at the District Attorney's office. He also continued to provide legal representation as an intern at the Washburn Law Clinic, defending small businesses and not-for-profit companies on a pro-bono basis.
