Law Office of Nicholas Polasky is a general litigation law office. It can take inquires about any legal matter, with a particular focus on criminal defense, fish and game offenses, and family law. The law office is located in Juneau and handles cases throughout Southeast. Nick grew up in Juneau. He went to school at Mendenhall River Community School, Floyd Dryden Middle School, and graduated from Juneau Douglas High School in 1997. Before opening his law office, Nick was an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Alaska for almost eight years. Nick was a prosecutor in Ketchikan from 2007-2012 and in Juneau from 2012-2015. He handled all types of cases from speeding tickets to homicides, and he was the primary prosecutor for fish and game offenses during his time in both Ketchikan and Juneau. He conducted and won jury trials in Craig, Haines, Hoonah, Juneau, Kake, Ketchikan, and Petersburg, and in front of every judge in Southeast Alaska. During his time as a prosecutor Nick was recognized by the Office of Victim’s Rights for his work with the victims of crimes. Before his return to Alaska, Nick served as a law clerk for now retired Judge James Broberg in Albert Lea, Minnesota from 2006-2007, and taught English at Jilin Institute of Chemical Technology from 2001-2003 in Jilin City, China. Nick attended St. Thomas School of Law on a presidential scholarship and graduated cum laude in 2006. Nick earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and in Theology from St. John’s University in 2001. Nick is active in the community with his children’s activities including as a parks and recreation coach and in scouting.
