Ms. Okraku has dual admission to the New York State and United Kingdom Bars. At the beginning of her career she worked as a Paralegal at Lovells, LLC, a magic circle international law firm, where, among other things, she conducted due diligence searches and discovery in major class action product liability cases. While practicing law in the United Kingdom, Ms. Okraku worked for Lambeth Legal Services where she represented the local municipal government. In this capacity she frequently dealt with large scale litigation consisting of nearly 100 plaintiffs in issues as varied as employment discrimination, equal pay, minimum wage and pension law. Ms. Okraku also presented numerous training courses and workshops and prepared regular legal briefings for senior managers and human resources staff on a variety of employment law issues. Having worked for a large organization, Ms. Okraku can critically analyze the strengths and weaknesses of a client’s cases from both an employee’s and employer’s perspective. Ms. Okraku obtained her Law Degree from London Law School and her Master’s Degree in Law from the London School of Economics. She is currently a member of various bar associations in New York including the National Employment Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association, the Bronx County Bar Association and the Black Bar Association of Bronx County.
