Michael A. Ostroff Attorney at Law

Mr. Ostroff joined Montero Law Group, LLC in October 2009. He has developed a general practice as a consumer and small business advocate. His portfolio includes bankruptcy, real estate, civil litigation, corporate law, family/domestic, estate planning and wills, protective/peace orders, appellate practice, and more. Mr. Ostroff has directed Montero Law Group’s bankruptcy department for the last eight years, representing debtors and creditors in Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcies, including as litigation counsel in multiple adversary proceedings. Mr. Ostroff is fluent in English and Spanish, and has represented families in state court for Special Immigrant Juvenile Status proceedings. He is a former Chair of the Maryland State Bar Association’s Consumer Bankruptcy Section. During his term as Chair, Mr. Ostroff oversaw the submission by the Section of an amicus brief to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland in on the application of the Supreme Court Decision in Harris v. Viegelahn, 135 S.Ct. 1829 (2015); and compiled and edited stories for The Honorable Paul Manned: A Collection of Stories, Memories and Memorials Celebrating His Life and Career (2016).
