Lauren Butler

Lauren Butler found her passion for criminal defense while she was working as a Deputy District Attorney in the 5th Judicial District.  During her time prosecuting cases, too often she witnessed how little justice there is in the criminal justice system, especially for those individuals not represented by counsel.  She saw first-hand how many times prosecutors and the government use their power to secure guilty pleas in cases that would have been very defensible with the proper legal representation.   She’s seen people’s constitutional rights violated and unfair courtroom proceedings...
