James E. Boren

For over 35 years, James Boren has been a Baton Rouge criminal defense attorney who has successfully represented individuals, companies, and company employees in all types of criminal cases and quasi-criminal matters. Attorney Boren has been named in 'Best Lawyers' in the United States and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Boren frequently lectures to other criminal defense lawyers throughout the U.S. on such matters as cross-examination, jury selection, death penalty cases, and legal ethics. He teaches two courses, one in Capital Punishment and one titled Punishment and Wrongful Convictions (with a federal judge) at the Louisiana State University Law School.
