Fred Shepherd

Fred H. Shepherd III was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Fred spent the first four years of his legal career on active duty with the United States Marine Corps. After completing Marine Officer Candidate School, then 2nd Lieutenant Shepherd was assigned duties as a Marine Judge Advocate. In this capacity, Fred represented more than 500 individual service members with matters ranging from estate planning to family law, to General Courts Martial criminal defense. He was lead counsel for more than 200 Courts Martial. Fred was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in July 2005 as a Captain with numerous personal awards and commendations. In July 2014, Fred attended and graduated from Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyer’s College (TLC) in Dubois, Wyoming. This College is a limited enrollment program that offers selective lawyers highly intensive training in trial skills.
