David Benowitz

David Benowitz is a Washington, DC criminal lawyer with experience representing clients facing a wide range of different charges. He has been awarded the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has a perfect 10/10 score on the AVVO rating system. Mr. Benowitz is also the only Washington, DC criminal defense attorney to be board-certified as a criminal trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Throughout his career representing clients in the District of Columbia, Mr. Benowitz has earned a reputation for taking an aggressive, detail-oriented approach to each case he represents. He is dedicated to building a strong defense strategy for each client, geared towards obtaining the best possible result in their case, whatever the charge they face. Mr. Benowitz graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with honors before graduating near the top of his class from the George Washington University School of Law. During his time in law school Mr. Benowitz was a member of the school’s Law Review and Moot Court Board. He went on to obtain an additional advanced degree in Trial Advocacy from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.
