Catherine was raised in Gunnison, Colorado. She earned a B.A. in Political Science and History from Western State College of Colorado in Gunnison. She graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1992. After working two years as a Deputy Public Defender, Catherine entered private practice and handled cases regarding juvenile offenders and children in need of care. For the 15 years prior to joining the firm, Catherine’s firm had the contract with the State of Kansas to provide Child Support Enforcement Services to fifteen Kansas Counties. Catherine has been very active in the Salina Community. She has volunteered numerous hours to USD305 elementary, middle and high schools. She served as a Girl Scouts of America Troop Leader for seven years. She was President of the Kansas Child Support Enforcement Association 2013-2014. She is a member of the Saline County Law Library Board of Trustees and a member of the Saline Ottawa County Bench Bar Committee (2011-2015). Catherine has served on the District Judicial Nominating Commission for the Twenty-Eighth Judicial District from 2008 to 2016.
