Cahoon & Swisher

James L. Swisher was born and grew up in Forsyth County. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1961 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and the Wake Forest School of Law in 1962 with the Juris Doctor degree. Upon graduation, he began practicing law with Robert S. Cahoon. They remained partners until Mr. Cahoon’s retirement. Mr. Swisher is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Advocates of Justice, the Greensboro Bar Association, and the Greensboro Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He is active in his support of the Wake Forest School of Law, having served on the Board of Visitors and providing support for the Worrell Professional Center.
