As Attorney Brine was growing up, his dad lost his job, twice. He saw first-hand the struggles that families face when they have financial problems. That includes not only the obvious spending limitations, but also the emotional toll that debts can cause, which can impact nearly every aspect of your life. He became a lawyer in hopes of helping people eliminate debt problems without having to suffer. He graduated magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law and became a bankruptcy attorney. But he quickly realized that bankruptcy is only one of several options that people facing debt problems might have. Bankruptcy is a very powerful tool, but isn’t always the best option for everyone. If you have only one or two debts, then you might be better off fighting a lawsuit in state court. Also, bankruptcy does nothing to compensate you for debt collectors that illegally harass and threaten you.
