Shahid Haque founded the Border Crossing Law Firm in 2008. While still in law school in Chicago, Illinois, Mr. Haque helped several refugees win their asylum cases. After graduating, Mr. Haque continued his pro bono representation of asylum seekers, winning several more cases. After moving to Montana in 2008, Mr. Haque recognized a tremendous need for qualified immigration attorneys to represent the needs of Montana residents. Since then, Mr. Haque has represented more than two thousands immigrants and their families in the State of Montana. At the Border Crossing Law Firm, we believe that there is no such thing as an illegal human being, and for over a decade we have used our knowledge and experience to help immigrants establish legal residence in the U.S. through adjustment of status (“green cards”), family-based visas, and work visas. Our firm works directly with clients to guide them through the naturalization and citizenship process. We also vigorously defend immigrants in deportation or removal proceedings, and have represented clients in hundreds of deportation hearings.
